From the firmament, a clearer view
We build small, focused tools for people who want to understand the forces above and beneath a problem — before they decide what to do about it.
About
Wybren Studios is an independent software studio. We build tools that help people rise above a problem — to see the whole of it, the structure of it, the forces that hold it in place — before reaching for a solution.
We named ourselves after that idea. Not the sky as decoration, but the sky as vantage point. The place you need to reach before the shape of things below makes sense.
Our tools do not do the thinking for you. They give you a higher altitude.
We build and we ship. We don't run focus groups or move fast. We think carefully about what a tool should do, build it to do exactly that, and release it when it is ready.
Each product is a complete, self-contained thing. You pay for it once, it lives on your machine, and it is yours. We have no interest in your data and no mechanism to collect it.
If you have a question or something to say, you are welcome to reach us at [email protected]. We read everything. We may not respond immediately, but we will respond.
Products
Each product is built around a single question: what would become clear if you could see the whole of it? Nothing bundled. Nothing subscribed. Just the tool.
A tool for building and exploring Causal Loop Diagrams — visual maps that show how the forces in a system push, resist, and reinforce one another. For habits that persist, teams that resist change, and problems that keep returning no matter what you do about them.

Causal Loop Diagram tool for macOS
Morio is a Welsh word meaning to sail. It is a tool for building Causal Loop Diagrams — visual maps that show how elements in a system influence one another, and why certain patterns keep returning no matter what you do about them.
A competent sailor does not overpower the sea. They read it — the current, the wind, the way one force shifts another over distance and time. Morio is built on the same idea. Most persistent problems are held in place by feedback loops that resist direct intervention. Map them first. Then find where a small, well-placed move changes everything.
Draw variables and the relationships between them. See reinforcing and balancing loops emerge as you work.
Automatically detect feedback loops in your diagram. Understand which are reinforcing (R) and which are balancing (B).
Recognise classic system patterns — Limits to Growth, Shifting the Burden, Success to the Successful — within your own diagrams.
Isolate any loop to explore its step-by-step logic. Understand exactly how a change propagates through the system.
Identify where a well-placed intervention has the greatest potential to shift a pattern.
Diagrams are saved as .cld files on your own device. Nothing is sent anywhere. No account required.

The firmament observes everything below it and records nothing. That is the philosophy we build by. We pass through your work without touching it. We take nothing from you, and we leave nothing behind.
